About The Position

The Yard Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard area at Burrtec, a family-owned refuse and recycling collection company. This role involves various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and tidy work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Ability to make sound judgment.
• Ability to stand continuously during assigned shift and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, squat and kneel.

Responsibilities

• Division yard cleaning and organization activities.
• Barrel and Bin Cleaning Repairs (barrels only and assist welder with bins as needed).
• Container inventory & organization.
• Janitorial cleaning (vacuuming, restroom cleaning, empty trash containers, etc).
• Parking lot and entryway cleaning.
• Landscape cleaning (weeding, shrubs, trees, and grass areas).
• SWPPP Maintenance & Litter Control (on-site BMPs) - Daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
