The Yard Attendant at CAT Rentals is responsible for safely conducting all assigned work, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment. This role involves directing the incoming and outgoing movement of equipment and trucks for the facility, working with managers to establish operational procedures for efficient flow and organization, and performing basic inspections of incoming equipment to determine its physical condition, recommending repairs if necessary. The attendant is expected to attend and successfully complete required tasks and training classes, maintain a neat and orderly work area, and constantly seek ways to improve work methods, the work area, and safety standards. Completing required documentation using appropriate software for incoming and outgoing equipment and submitting it to the supervisor in a timely manner is also a key duty. The position requires a positive approach to work, conduct supportive of the team, and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Additionally, the Yard Attendant assists with maintaining the facility by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housecleaning, and performing other general maintenance duties.
