JOB TITLE: Yard Associate JOB LOCATION: Provo, UT JOB STATUS : Part Time FUNCTION: The Yard Associate is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely loading of building materials and products as specified by customer orders and Company standards.

Requirements

  • Strong process/procedure orientation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication/comprehension skills.
  • Strong team and customer service skills.
  • Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
  • Safety conscious.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
  • Track record of dependability.
  • Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 50 - 70 lbs. of force regularly.
  • If under 18 the employee must obtain help to lift over 30 pounds and must be accomplished without equipment.
  • Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
  • Outdoor working conditions, sometimes in extreme climates.

Responsibilities

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.
  • Record all information on each picking ticket and turn in a signed picking ticket.
  • Load orders/building delivery materials according to the specifications on the delivery ticket and company standard.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and team support.
  • Advise management of any damage material or backordered item.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, identifying and addressing potential safety concerns.
  • Properly secure loads to avoid any damages or safety issues.
  • Operate equipment according to specification and in alignment with designated safety standards.
  • If under 18 years of age: May NOT operate any equipment beyond a hand truck / dolly.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required.
