About The Position

The Yard Associate for Heritage Family of Companies is responsible for supporting daily yard and warehouse operations, including material receiving, stocking, and organization, while adhering to safety standards and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience or certification preferred (training and certification can be obtained after hire through company training).
  • Experience operating skid steer and/or front-end loader.
  • Prior experience in hands-on, outdoor/indoor yard/warehouse, operational work or similar environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish may be required based on location‑specific business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Move, stock, and organize products in the yard and warehouse to keep inventory accurate and easy to find.
  • Load and unload materials from customer and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment while following all safety rules.
  • Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Must follow all safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and using proper lifting techniques.
  • Check and verify orders, complete shipping and receiving paperwork, and work with team members to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Assist with other warehouse or yard tasks as needed.
