About The Position

AWCT is hiring a Yard Associate for our Flint location for 2nd shift. Please apply fast for this position! This position is responsible for safely and accurately inspecting, driving and placing customer vehicles in accurate bays or load lanes for pick up or loading onto railcars at the Flint – Lake State GM facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure new vehicles are driven and parked in assigned areas according to manufacturer's specifications Inspects cars to detect damage and to verify presence of accessories listed on invoice Move vehicles from staging areas to shipping bay location Ensure yard quality standards are maintained Train new associates and temporary workers Must be able to follow directions and consistently follow procedures Must adhere to AAR and safety procedures Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as Maintain a positive behavior and conduct in the workplace while acting and communicating with customers, vendors, co-workers and management Ability to work in a variety of situations

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have and maintain a valid State driver's license and must have a good driving record
  • Must be able to drive both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Must be able to pass the AWCT driver's safety test with 80% accuracy or better
