About The Position

Performs various duties including physical inventories, audits, research, reporting, and cycle counting to maintain the integrity and accuracy of inventory records. Identifies inventory discrepancies and communicates issues to management. Counts materials and products identifying variances by comparing physical counts to inventory records. Audits inventory activity for appropriate general ledger reporting including audits of manual adjustments, work order, receipt, and material movement activities. Investigates inventory accuracy problems, monitoring selected storage locations and identifies causes of inaccuracies. Effectively communicates to a variety of employees and management levels and suggest options to eliminate issues. Provides training supporting inventory accuracy to operational and retail employees as needed. Responsible for maintaining records, reports, and updates to inventory control database. Operate warehouse equipment including fork trucks or aerial platform to perform inventory counts. Knows and follows all safety rules and procedures. Ability to work on large- or small-scale projects, including testing of inventory related upgrades. Flexibility and availability for overtime and alternate shifts as needed (days/weekends).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Ability to read and write in the English language.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic arithmetic.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work both as a team member and independently.
  • Mathematical aptitude with basic accounting knowledge.
  • Computer experience with e-mail, MS Excel, and Word applications.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as printer and copier.
  • Related knowledge of inventory systems.
  • Flexibility in work schedule for possible overtime, work on holidays, weekends, and extended hours.
