About The Position

Turn your love for boats into a career on the water. At Irish Boat Shop, we don’t just sell boats — we help people make memories on the water. From first-time buyers to lifelong boaters, our brokers are trusted guides who match customers with the right boat for their lifestyle. We’re looking for a Yacht Broker to join our sales team in Traverse City and Harbor Springs, working with new, used, and brokerage boats in one of the most beautiful boating regions in the country.

Requirements

A people-person who naturally builds trust and puts customers at ease
High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable working toward sales goals
Confident communicator who can explain features, pricing, and options clearly
Willing to learn — boating experience is helpful, but passion matters most
Comfortable using basic technology (Word, Excel; Salesforce a plus)
Physically able to move around boats, climb ladders, and lift up to 30 lbs
Flexible availability, including six days a week during peak season and occasional Sundays

Responsibilities

Build strong, long-term relationships with customers who love being on the water
Guide customers through the boat-buying process — from first conversation to closing
Match boats to customer needs, lifestyle, and budget
Present and demonstrate boats, highlighting features and value
Stay current on products, inventory, and market trends
Follow up with prospective and existing customers to grow your book of business
Handle sales documentation and keep accurate records using tools like Salesforce
Represent Irish Boat Shop at boat shows, demos, and company events
