About The Position

Envision Imaging seeks a Full-Time X-ray technologist (float) at our Keller and Southlake, TX locations. Southlake: Tuesday and Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM. Keller: Friday, 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM and Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The pay range is $25.70 - $33.12. The X-ray technologist performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures, adjusts X-Ray equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure, and positions patients. They perform specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and assist physicians in assigned examinations utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.

Requirements

• Two plus years' experience in X-Ray - preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
• Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient's care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient's condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
