Radiology Associates - Inverness Imaging is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join our fast-paced outpatient imaging center. In this role, you will perform high-quality radiologic exams while supporting patients throughout their imaging experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and compassionate patient care.
Requirements
- Associate s Degree from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
- Florida State Radiologic Technologist License.
- ARRT (R) certification in Radiology.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.
- Proficiency in X-ray, fluoroscopy, and bone density (DEXA) exams.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and radiologic equipment.
- Excellent computer, communication, and documentation skills.
- Professional, patient-focused attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families professionally, provide instructions, and answer questions regarding procedures.
- Schedule patients and assist with front-desk or clerical duties as needed.
- Operate X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality radiographs of specified anatomical areas.
- Adjust equipment settings based on the procedure and maintain radiation safety standards.
- Assist with fluoroscopic procedures, bone density (DEXA) exams, and contrast media preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of equipment and imaging rooms; promptly report malfunctions.
- Evaluate images for quality and ensure accurate documentation in RIS/PACS systems.
- Adhere to all imaging safety guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in the training and orientation of new staff or student technologists.
- Provide compassionate patient care and assist with positioning or lifting as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
