About The Position
We are seeking a Full-Time X-Ray Technician to join our clinic. The X-Ray Tech will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging, preparing and positioning patients, and ensuring high-quality radiographs. This role may require travel to other clinic locations as needed for coverage.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Explain X-ray procedures clearly to patients
- Prepare and properly position patients for optimal imaging results
- Produce high-quality radiographs to assist in diagnosis
- Verify the correct body part is being examined
- Ensure proper imaging views are captured for each exam
- Educate patients throughout the procedure
- Provide patients with image copies upon request
- Ensure accurate billing codes are used
- Upload and maintain images in the PACS system
- Perform quality control checks to meet regulatory and departmental standards
- Clean, maintain, and perform minor adjustments on radiographic equipment
- Identify and report equipment repair needs
- Protect patients and staff from radiation exposure
- Perform other duties as assigned
