About The Position

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours a week, with rotating weekends every 6th weekend. The working hours on Saturday and Sunday are from 8 AM to 4 PM, while Monday to Friday hours vary from 8 AM to 9 PM. The role involves working closely with patients and medical staff to ensure effective imaging procedures are conducted while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be AART registered or eligible also IDNS licensed.
• CPR certification.
• 6 months - 2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Obtain patient’s pertinent history.
• Maintains crash cart.
• Maintain and stock inventory.
• Maintain OSHA regulations.
• Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.
• Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules.
• Report to lead technologist for work assignments.
• Will assist with film quality control. Required to work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the department.
• Assists and relieve manager expediting the patient work flow through the department.

Benefits

• Base pay range of $28.84-$43.00, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
• Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
