About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technician / Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. This dual-role position is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and supporting clinical operations to ensure efficient patient care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT preferred or required per TN regulations)
  • Active Tennessee X-Ray Operator License (or eligibility)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Minimum [1–2] years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Knowledge of primary care workflows
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
  • Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with physician orders
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety practices
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment
  • Verify images for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal radiation safety regulations
  • Maintain proper documentation of imaging procedures
  • Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
  • Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
  • Administer injections and medications as directed
  • Perform basic lab procedures (e.g., EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing)
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms
  • Handle patient communication, including follow-ups and instructions
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
