About The Position

Astrana is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality imaging that supports exceptional patient care. You would be operating as the sole tech for our group of primary care clinics in the Vegas area, so we are seeking technicians who are confident in their abilities to perform scans independently. You’ll work closely with patients to ensure comfort and safety, operate advanced X-ray equipment, and produce precise images that help physicians make informed decisions. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate’s degree or certificate)
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography
  • Active unrestricted state licensure through Nevada State Health Division
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficiency in operating X-ray and imaging equipment
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and anatomy
  • Understanding of radiation safety principles and protective measures

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret referring orders to determine required imaging, confirming details with patients to align with physician directives and clinical history.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, obtaining consent, and positioning them correctly for optimal imaging.
  • Operate and adjust X-ray equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in compliance with radiology protocols, certification standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Evaluate images for clarity and adequacy prior to patient departure, retaking as necessary to reduce call rates and minimize unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Provide appropriate radiation shielding and follow all HIPAA, safety, and harassment prevention protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with confidentiality standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and routine maintenance of equipment and exam rooms, promptly reporting any issues.
  • Monitor, stock, and order radiologic supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
