The Radiologic Technologist (XRT) position is primarily responsible for independently performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist clinicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. You'll help patients through the imaging process and work cross-functionally to support your team with other tasks that expand your knowledge and experience to keep our clinic running smoothly. We are looking for someone with a primary availability of weekends, and some additional flexibility for weekdays and holidays.

Requirements

  • Has relevant expertise, typically developed through job-related training and work experience
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Current CPR/BLS Certificate
  • Licensure/Certifications: Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Active Texas Medical Board - RT (R) license

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging using a mobile/portable x-ray machine; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
  • Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
  • Assist with Medical Assistants and perform front desk duties to ensure optimal patient flow
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings
  • Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
  • Propose improvements to processes and workflows
  • Work autonomously within established procedures and practices.
