About The Position

This position is incentive eligible. CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT) to join our team. The X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant PRN will provide expertise and champion patient care, performing various clinical duties in support of providers and nursing staff. This includes taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens, and EKGs, as well as preparing and maintaining exam rooms. The role also involves assisting with front desk duties, maintaining records, and performing equipment and supply audits.

Requirements

• High School graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.
• Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) license in state of residency.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Perform various clinical duties in support of providers and nursing staff including taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens, and EKGs.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as directed.
• Prepare, maintain, and clean exam rooms.
• Check patients in and out of the computer and assist the Patient Representative with front desk duties.
• Greet patients and perform End of Day close out procedures.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work and drug screens.
• Perform equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Work closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator, and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
