About The Position

The X-Ray Tech position at CareSpot Urgent Care involves preparing patients for radiologic procedures and performing x-rays while assisting with other medical support tasks as required by clinicians. The role is integral to providing patient-centric care in a fast-paced urgent care environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining accurate records of procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• License for Radiologic Technologists or Basic Machine Operator.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• 11+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory clinic.

• Prior recent experience in a healthcare setting such as an emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory clinic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform x-rays within scope of practice.
• Practice patient shielding and ALARA standards.
• Keep an accurate log of exams performed, including documenting LMP and shielding.
• Verify condition of network and x-ray server.
• Clean cassettes, table, and chest board after each procedure.
• Perform additional front and back-office duties as required by the daily operations of the clinic, including collecting payments for services rendered.
