The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. This role involves a variety of technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. The C.T. Technologist performs C.T. Scan examinations on patients of all ages, coordinating patient flow and activities of the C.T. Scanner. Responsibilities include preparing patients, equipment, and supplies for Cat Scan, and ensuring proper storage of CT images on PACs. The Multi-Modality Technologist is skilled and certified, performing diagnostic imaging procedures in at least three specialty areas such as Radiography, DXA, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound. This role requires meeting the specific job description requirements for each modality.
