At Minnesota Occupational Health (MOH) our mission in treating and managing work injuries is to help injured workers remain mobile, active and productive.⯠Be part of an organization that offers an exciting, dynamic, fast-paced environment with a patient mix that changes day to day and Staff members feel respected and find a strong sense of purpose in their roles, contributing to a familial atmosphere characterized by mutual respect and enjoyment.â¯â¯â¯ As the X-Ray Operator/Medical Assistant on our team, you will focus on Occupational Medicine and perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties including but not limited to collecting medical histories, assesses work injuries and performs x-rays ordered by MOH providers to assist in patient diagnosis and monitoring. This is a casual position based at our St. Paul Midway MOH campus. Monday - Friday schedule of 7:30am - 4:00pm (subject to change). This role may also require flexibility to pick up shifts at any/all of our MOH Campuses as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
- Positions patients and takes X-rays of specific parts of the patient’s body as requested by MOH providers.
- Checks X-rays for clarity of image, retaking when needed.
- Maintains required records including patient records, daily log books, and monthly reports.
- Measure patient statistics and vitals, including height, weight, blood pressure, eye evaluations or performing a urine analysis dip.
- Prepare patient for a physical evaluation.
- Assist provider, as needed, with various procedures.
- Perform urine drug screens by collecting and analyzing specimens.
- Fulfill clerical duties as assigned, including sending and receiving patient medical records, obtaining lab and x-ray reports and completing and sending employer paperwork.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and verifying insurance coverage / patient demographics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
