Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Good communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills.

- 1 - 2 years in a Hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Delivers supplies, mail and laboratory items as directed
- Maintains patient safety and handles all patients in a calm and reassuring manner.
- Properly manages all transport equipment. Cleanssanitizes transport equipment after use. Returns all transport equipment to the proper storage area when not in use. Practices safe handling and storage of oxygen tanks according to policy.
- Transports patients to and from bedside according to correct mode of transportation as directed. Ensures patient identification and information matches record log before transporting. Notifies nurse of patient s arrival and departure from the unit as well as the tele-tech on the cardiac monitored units.
