About The Position
Under general direction from the facility Superintendent, perform a variety of duties involved in operations, process, control, maintenance, and sludge dewatering at the Wastewater Treatment Facility. This position requires a State of Montana ABC 3 Wastewater Operators Certification and in some cases, a minimum of a Class B CDL. Employees are eligible for Operator II after they have become a fully certified Class 1C Wastewater Operator by the State of Montana and completed two consecutive years at the Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator I position at a satisfactory performance level, and completed the requirements outlined in the City of Helena's Advancement Policy for Plant Operators.
