Job Description: Defines high-impact, long-term (i.e., 2-5+ year horizon) business strategies at the global and regional level and/or customer level. Partners with senior management to identify new business opportunities and other growth strategies within existing account portfolio. Monitors external factors during strategic development, including market forces, macro/microeconomic factors, and competitive implications. Works with and manages cross-functional project teams. Conducts rigorous, data-driven analyses to diagnose the current state and model future outcomes for business performance. Develops recommendations for senior management based on competitive market, financial, and economic trend data. Manages strategic initiatives and participates in communicating the strategy to the sales and client organizations. Applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/operational issues within established policies. Manages activities of exempt individual contributors. Has accountability for a large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of long-term goals for the organization. Plans, manages, and monitors high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Position typically reports to Director or above. Additional Guidance/Criteria: Manages and controls activities within a sub-region or Region; Typically manages 10 or more direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers. Location: HPE Houston Campus, TX Work 2 days a week on-site at the office US Citizenship required Travel: Must have a current and valid passport to travel to: (Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Japan, UK)

  • Ability to manage human capital to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
  • Typically 12+ years experience.
  • Often 4-7 years post-advanced degree experience leading projects, deals, and the company's financial improvement initiatives in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or market research.
  • Advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Leads critically important, high impact, time-sensitive efforts to identify business growth opportunities and strategies for the OEM business. (e.g., new business models, growth initiatives, cost reduction strategies).
  • Partners with executives in creating strategic initiatives and securing budgets for plans and projects to support business growth and development
  • Oversees significant data analysis efforts and develops new tools and processes to evaluate strategic objectives.
  • Influences and coaches executives by presenting compelling analyses and recommendations that build the business case for new strategic initiatives.
  • Directs a sizeable global, virtual, and cross-functional team of business development managers who drive strategic initiatives at the sales, customer and partner level.
  • Provides innovative thought leadership and makes significant contributions to the company's strategic planning knowledge base.
  • Provides strong leadership, develops and sets individual and team goals, and acts as a change agent and leader.
  • Ensures proper tools and resources are in place to support team efforts.
