We are currently seeking a WSS Engineer / Epic Client System Administrator (ECSA) - Remote to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US). An Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) plays a crucial role in supporting the infrastructure and backend systems that allow Epic applications to function efficiently in a healthcare setting. Typical job responsibilities of an Epic ECSA include System Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain Epic servers and related infrastructure (Hyperspace, Interconnect, web servers). Ensure proper configuration of system components like Chronicles, Cache/IRIS, and application middleware. Apply patches, updates, and hotfixes as needed. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor server and application performance (CPU, memory, disk I/O, etc.). Tune system settings to optimize performance and reduce downtime. Troubleshoot issues related to system slowness or failures. Epic Environment Management: Manage non-production and production environments (such as PRD, POC, TST, DEV, and TRN). Coordinate environment refreshes, migrations, and system cloning. Ensure proper environment isolation and naming conventions. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain Epic system security best practices (including user authentication, firewall rules, certificates). Ensure systems comply with healthcare regulations like HIPAA. Monitor and manage audit logs, encryption, and access controls.
