About The Position

About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 05 The Team: You will be an Intern in our S&P Wall Street Office (WSO) operations team. You will be working and supporting our team of analysts who are responsible for data maintenance, support, and analysis of activities for our clients. The position offers exposure to external industry entities such as portfolio managers, custodians, and agent banks. This is a great opportunity to gain extensive client interaction and experience in the syndicated loan market. Requirements

  • A bachelor degree (or equivalent) completed no later than May 2027
  • Demonstrated passion or interest in one or more of our key industries
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
  • Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply
  • Right to Work Requirements: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing trade settlements in WSO Admin under the guidance of team members based on client information.
  • Support the team in ensuring timely processing of new borrowings, rollovers, and pay downs.
  • Help with daily activity processing and new deal closings by reviewing source documentation and communications from agent banks.
  • Aid in processing interest and commitment fees, and learn to investigate discrepancies.
  • Participate in reconciliations and balancing of cash ledgers, contributing to issue research and resolution.
  • Review system-generated reports to assist with monitoring facilities and identifying exceptions.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather necessary information to ensure accurate data entry in the system.
  • Respond to requests from different departments/clients within a specified timeframe.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned, gaining practical experience in the field.
