About The Position

As a Sales and Partnership Associate for WSM Radio, a division of Opry Entertainment Group (OEG), you will identify, develop, and manage strategic brand partnerships that drive revenue growth while honoring the heritage and values of WSM and the Grand Ole Opry. Your focus will be expanding revenue through multi-platform solutions, including broadcast radio, digital audio/streaming, podcasts, events, sponsorships, and non-traditional media assets. As the ideal candidate, you understand both traditional and digital media platforms, excel in relationship-based selling, and approach partnerships through the lens of storytelling, strategy, and brand alignment. Reports to Manager of Sales-WSM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years' experience in media sales, partnerships, or business developments, ideally in radio, television, digital media, or a related industry required
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Adept at relationship management, media strategy (traditional and digital)
  • Proficient in project management and campaign execution
  • Creative and strategic thinker, skilled at generating partnership ideas and opportunities that resonate with partners and audiences
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and analytics software (PPO, CRM, Digital Analytics, social media ad platforms)
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with media partnerships in both traditional and non-traditional (digital, OTT, podcasting, etc.) media preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue by developing custom advertising, sponsorship, and branded content solutions across WSM's broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through strategic partnerships with local and national brands, agencies, content creators, and marketing teams.
  • Manage and grow a book of business while consistently meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
  • Work cross-functionally to create innovative solutions that combine terrestrial radio, streaming audio, newsletters, podcasts, digital media, and live experiences.
  • Creatively and strategically match partner objectives with WSM's audience, influence, and storytelling capabilities.
  • Accurately prepare and submit contracts, schedules, and all required documentation to ensure campaigns are executed on time and adhere to brand standards, messaging guidelines, and company initiatives.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key partners that align with the legacy, values, and cultural relevance of the WSM and Opry brands.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing communication, expectations, renewals, and upsell opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving market dynamics to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Represent WSM and OEG at events, remotes, trade shows, and client meetings, acting as a brand ambassador. Occasionally drive company vehicle.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
