About the position
The Writing Tutor position at The Study Shack involves providing personalized tutoring to a fifth-grade student, primarily focusing on writing skills. Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring to a fifth-grade student in all subjects, with a focus on writing.
- Develop personalized lesson plans to cater to the student's learning needs, particularly in writing.
- Support the student in managing their inattentive ADHD during tutoring sessions.
- Communicate progress and challenges with the student's guardians.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching or tutoring, particularly at the elementary level.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to teach writing effectively.
- Teaching certification preferred.
- Background in special education is preferred due to the student's needs.
