There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.

This position involves working in-person and online with undergraduate and graduate student writers from across the KU Lawrence and Edwards campus. The role requires fostering student learning by asking questions, collaborating with writers during consultations, and teaching important writing strategies and concepts. The consultant will provide technology, research, reading, and writing support to students working on multimodal projects, including communication, technical writing projects, and competency-based assessments. Additionally, the consultant will participate in ongoing partnerships with various classes and departments across campus, which may involve facilitating writing groups, delivering presentations, and participating in events or workshops as determined by the instructor and the Writing Center staff. Ongoing tutor education is also a key component of this role, which includes reading writing center research, participating in discussions, attending staff meetings, and engaging in the intellectual work of the writing center. Maintaining an organized, orderly, and safe learning environment is essential, along with creating a positive team atmosphere. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
