About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate, Experienced, or Senior Writer Editor - Technical Communicator to join our team in Mesa, Arizona or Everett, Washington. The primary responsibilities include researching contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation. The role involves analyzing, interpreting, and developing new, innovative communications solutions for customers, as well as developing or modifying existing content and configuration management systems and processes. The position leads writing and editing production, determines approaches to content structure and design, leads critical projects, defines content organization, nomenclature, and navigation systems for multifaceted projects, resolves issues regarding regulatory and legal requirements, defines new standards and guidelines, and provides expertise related to emerging trends and technology in the writing industry.

Requirements

  • Level 2: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 3: 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables and release technical publications.
  • Experience with Technical Publications, aircraft systems or technical data.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of previous experience in publication and online writing techniques.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams on a product for both an internal and external audience.
  • Comfortable and proficient in gathering data from multiple sources, and compiling in a single document.
  • Experience with project management principles to manage simultaneous projects.
  • Experience driving digital solutions.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
