About The Position
The Writer/Editor & Community Outreach Coordinator position at NEW Solutions involves a multifaceted role focused on communications, community engagement, and outreach related to outdoor recreation and conservation topics. The successful candidate will coordinate with NPS-RTCA Monitors to conceive, write, edit, and produce various outreach and communication materials, as well as planning documents. This role is essential in ensuring that the planning processes are well-documented and communicated effectively to the public. The position requires a strong background in writing and editing, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in communications or a relevant degree in Writing and Communications. Familiarity with community planning and conservation topics is crucial, as the role will involve engaging diverse community sectors in the planning process to ensure their voices are represented. The responsibilities will include the writing and editing of draft and final concept and site plans, resource analyses, and implementation plans, with a significant focus on outreach and engagement planning. The candidate will also be involved in graphic design and production of outreach materials, ensuring that all communication products are visually appealing and effectively convey the intended messages. The position allows for remote work arrangements, providing flexibility while still requiring occasional site visits and travel for community engagement activities.
