Writer and Researcher (TEMPORARY) This writing and research assistant position consists of completing research and creating content about historic figures connected to the culture and history of BYU. In this capacity, you will perform a variety of tasks to prepare for the eventual publication of the “Celebrating the Women of BYU Walking Tour” and the “BYU Women @150” project. Key duties include writing short biographical entries, fact-checking, source-checking, and assisting with other publication-related tasks.
Requirements
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
- BA in a humanities discipline or a related field
- Strong research and writing skills
Nice To Haves
- Interest in Women’s History and Visual Culture
- Experience working on public history projects
Responsibilities
- Editing short biographical entries of historic figures connected to BYU
- Fact-checking
- Source-checking
- Helping with the design and lay-out of the Women of BYU Walking Tour on the BYU Walks app
- Helping with editing and source-checking for the BYU Women @150 project
