Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• One year of full-time experience in construction, mechanical, or maintenance trades.
• Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Ability to obtain an appropriate Nevada state driver's license within the required timeframe.
• Forklift certification within 6 months of appointment.
• Valid State of Nevada Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade I Certificate at time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the operation of the Water Reclamation Facility.
• Drive a variety of vehicles and operate equipment for wastewater treatment.
• Maintain and repair equipment and facilities as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and perform stand-by duties as required.
• Work various shifts, including overtime and call back during off hours.
