This position is responsible for pick up and delivery of customer vehicles with both Wrecker and Rollback tow trucks, and reports to the Operations Manager or designated manager as part of the Transportation/Logistics team.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record for the past 3 years
  • Must be able to drive vehicles with either standard or automatic transmissions
  • Effective customer relations, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have at least 1 year of driving both Wrecker (hook/wheel) tow truck and Rollback
  • Have a current valid DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen and a background check
  • Must be 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Previous DOT tow truck driving experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently pick up and deliver customer vehicles
  • Load and unload customer vehicles
  • Prioritize safe driving and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with Carvana's Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver Qualification Policy. Consistent, and safe driving is crucial for this role.
  • Complete condition reports and complete paperwork related to the pick up and delivery of the vehicle
  • Communicate with customers to verify vehicle information and condition of vehicles
  • Maintain good flow of communication with all team members and practice good teamwork
  • Inspect the wrecker or rollback to ensure the vehicle maintains good maintenance and safe driving conditions
