About The Position

The landscape groundskeeper will perform labor functions for maintaining the landscape of the Resort through irrigation, weed, and grass control on designated resort properties.

Requirements

  • Experience in maintenance, general labor, or gardening required.
  • Ability to use common hand tools and equipment.
  • Ability to operate light utility vehicles and golf carts.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs., work in inclement weather, extensive use of back, arms, hands, and extended time kneeling.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  • Requires a criminal history background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  • Maintain resort entrance, RV Park, TCI, Hotel, and medians landscape, regular weeding, and mowing if applicable—occasional job sharing with golf maintenance.
  • Work duties are performed outdoors often under adverse weather conditions such as hot sun, wind, rain, cold, etc.
  • Physically able to operate maintenance equipment, including string trimmers, walking mowers, hand tools, and other gardening equipment.
  • Assist in the repair, maintenance, and installation of the irrigation system.
  • Trim and maintain trees and shrubbery around walkways and fairways.
  • Plant flowers, weed flower beds, water lawns and pick up garbage and debris around the resort.
  • Operate and transport equipment in a utility vehicle or golf cart.
  • Provide routine maintenance of equipment and tools reporting any safety issues or repair needs to supervisor.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly report all concerns to the supervisor.
  • Operate a WRC-licensed vehicle and if directed, must meet WRC insurance requirements.
  • Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  • Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  • Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or needed.
