About The Position

Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Wrapper for the Converting plant in Grand Prairie, TX. The Production Wrapper is responsible for the final preparation of finished goods for warehouse storage and shipping, ensuring proper wrapping, labeling, and quality control of products while maintaining efficiency and safety standards. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and proper preparation for storage and shipping while maintaining safety and efficiency standards in the production environment. Direction comes from the Shift Supervisor. This will be a 3/2 rotating night shift schedule from 7pm-7am: Sun/Wed/Thurs; Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat.

Responsibilities

  • Wrap pallets and apply identification tags per customer specifications while performing final quality control checks
  • Box inventory rolls and skids from rewind operations, ensuring proper handling and storage
  • Operate core cutter efficiently, optimizing configurations and minimizing waste
  • Maintain T-CART's and conveyor lines for continuous slitting operations
  • Utilize PRISM/MRP systems for pallet tracking, job checkout, and data entry
  • Create and apply finished goods labels and file job jackets for Finishing Department
  • Operate forklifts and mobile equipment safely, including completing required safety checks
  • Perform regular equipment maintenance checks, including battery inspections and hoist mo nitoring
  • Maintain accurate wrapping supply inventory and ensure adequate stock levels
  • Complete daily safety and 5S audit logs according to company procedures
  • Maintain department cleanliness through 5S Standards and cleaning checklists
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while performing daily tasks
