About The Position

The Wraparound Team Supervisor is responsible for assuring the overall provision of intensive home based services and intensive care coordination to all Wraparound program youth. The Wraparound Team Supervisor is expected to exercise independent professional judgment and discretion in the leadership of the Facilitators and Child and Family Specialists and demonstrate a commitment to the services and values of the agency. Wraparound staff must complete all training requirements per DMH contract within the first year of employment. The Wraparound Team Supervisor reports directly to the Wraparound Program Manager.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology.
  • Four (4) years mental health services experience, intensive program experience preferred.
  • Valid California Driver's License, good driving record, and must be able to drive to fulfill the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • ACCOUNTABILITY: Develops and ensures effective implementation of program policies and procedures and oversees the provision and quality of case management and rehabilitative services in accordance with the policies of the agency and the Department of Mental Health.
  • SUPERVISION: Provides direct administrative supervision and supportive consultation to the Wraparound Facilitators and Child and Family Specialists (CFS). Oversees the quality and timeliness of all documentation and assures that documents are thoroughly completed. Periodically and regularly reviews their supervisees’ work performance and provides guidance or disciplinary recommendations.
  • CLIENT PLANS: Ensures that the client’s plan is effectively and comprehensively assessed, coordinated, delivered, transitioned, and reassessed in a way that is consistent with the intent of the Shared Core Practice Model. Reviews client outcomes.
  • TRAINING: Ensures that all staff have the required Wraparound orientation and training to competently perform the duties of their position.
  • COMMUNICATION: Facilitates transparent communication and problem solving between the program and referring agencies. Keeps abreast of pertinent program modifications and referral sources.
  • MEETINGS: Facilitates and/or assists/attends staff meetings, DMH meetings, and trainings as scheduled.
  • QI: Regularly meets with the Quality Improvement/Assurance representative. Immediately implements necessary program adjustments and corrections.
  • PRODUCTIVITY: Oversees the quality and timeliness of all documentation and assures that documents are thoroughly completed as set forth by the agency Tier System and internal policies.
  • BACK UP: Is fully acquainted with all the responsibilities of the Wraparound Facilitator and CFS duties and provides 24/7 on-call assistance, and/or back up services when needed.
  • ETHICS: Performs all duties within appropriate scope and boundaries and with application of legal and ethical standards.
  • EVALUATIONS AND DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS: Demonstrates the ability to fairly evaluate staff and provide them with the input necessary to improve performance. Assures that all disciplinary actions are conducted with fairness and respect and focused on the improvement of the employee.
  • EMPLOYEE RELATIONS: Demonstrates respect for the intrinsic value of each person, their individual differences and culture. Is capable of accurately identifying and building on the strengths of employees to better reach their potential. Is approachable and accessible in responding to staff’s issues and concerns and provides supportive consultation and when needed.
  • SIR’s: Guides special incident reporting in coordination with the Wraparound team.
  • HIRING: Participates in the selection, interview and hiring process, and makes recommendations for hiring.
  • OTHER: Performs other tasks as instructed by the Wraparound Program Manager.
