About The Position

The Wrangler will provide guests with a safe, fun, and meaningful horsemanship experience through trail rides, mounted instruction, and ground classes. This position will also care and feed the horses and maintain cleanliness in the arena and barn.

Requirements

• Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
• Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development.
• Prayerfully seeks God's will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
• Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer and participation in spiritual practices.
• Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement.
• Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries.
• Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
• At least one year of experience working with youth or adults.
• American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Certification or equivalent.
• CHA Instructor Certification.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of college.
• Two years of experience working with youth or adults.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Teach basic safety and 'how to ride' rules as assigned. Rotate through Western, English and Trailride horsemanship classes.
• Lead and supervise trail rides.
• Share responsibility for care and feeding of horses.
• Responsible for up-keep of arena and barn areas.
• Assist in other program areas as assigned by the Horsemanship Coordinator.
• Ride horses and/or drive wagons.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
