About The Position
WPVI-TV is an ABC-owned television station located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is known for its innovative approach to broadcasting. The Marketing Department at WPVI-TV is a dynamic and creative environment where imaginative producers and artists work together to elevate the brands of 6abc and Action News, which is Philadelphia's leading source for news coverage across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and beyond. As a Creative Marketing intern, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a fast-paced, hands-on operation that encompasses producing news segments, programming, and promotional content for special events. You will also be involved in implementing the graphic look for the station and crafting engaging content for 6abc.com and various social media platforms associated with Action News. In this role, you will participate in all aspects of creative execution, from initial research and concept development to pre-production and post-production activities. You will gain practical experience in writing, shooting, and editing promotional videos, allowing you to become proficient in video production. Additionally, you will create exciting and engaging video content tailored for social media platforms, becoming a specialist in TikTok and Instagram. Your creativity will play a crucial role in amplifying the brand's voice, as you will be tasked with brainstorming ideas for viral posts that resonate with the audience. As an ambassador for the TV station, you will represent WPVI-TV at various community events and activations, showcasing your dedication and enthusiasm for the brand. You will also have the chance to observe and assist as a production assistant during marketing shoots, collaborating with other team members on various projects as needed.
