About The Position
The Curriculum Specialist for the WOW (Working On Womanhood) Program at Youth Guidance is a pivotal role designed to provide ongoing support and consultation to WOW Counselors. This position is essential in ensuring fidelity to the WOW Program Model, which aims to empower young women through education and personal development. The Curriculum Specialist must possess a flexible clinical expertise and strong collaborative skills to motivate WOW Clinicians effectively, enabling them to implement the program successfully at their respective sites. In this role, the Curriculum Specialist will engage in various responsibilities, including providing on-site and off-site coaching to WOW Counselors using the 6 Step WOW Coaching Model and the 6 Areas of Conceptual Feedback. Training will be a significant aspect of the position, as the specialist will conduct sessions on the WOW Curriculum, its underlying theories, and philosophies during the Winter and Summer Training Institutes. Collaboration is key, as the specialist will work closely with WOW Counselors and the WOW Regional Manager to recruit students and build relationships with school administration and community partners. The Curriculum Specialist will also play a crucial role in identifying, managing, and retaining talented program team members, ensuring continuity of support for WOW clinicians. Timely reporting on the status of WOW clinicians, including assessment processes and training knowledge, is expected. The specialist will support best practices in clinical interventions to achieve positive student outcomes and will be responsible for ongoing curriculum development and revisions as necessary, ensuring that the agency's core values are integrated into the program design. Participation in professional development is essential to stay current with trends in the program area, and documentation of work completed in the agency's system is required. The Curriculum Specialist will also participate in various committees within WOW and Youth Guidance, contributing to the overall mission and effectiveness of the organization.
