About The Position

The LTC WOW CNA (Long-Term Care 'Wow' Certified Nursing Assistant) plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care within long-term care facilities. The CNA will collaborate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to support individualized care plans and promote a positive living environment. Requirements

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Clear background check and compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations.
  • The LTC WOW CNA utilizes strong interpersonal and communication skills daily to build trust and rapport with residents and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are understood and respected.
  • Attention to detail and observational skills are critical for accurately monitoring residents’ conditions and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity are essential for assisting with mobility and personal care tasks safely and effectively.
  • Time management and organizational skills help the CNA balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining high standards of care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting.
  • Additional certifications such as CPR instructor or specialized dementia care training.
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages relevant to the resident population.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding while maintaining respect and privacy.
  • Monitor and document residents’ health status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to nursing staff.
  • Support mobility and exercise routines to enhance residents’ physical health and prevent complications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Engage with residents in a friendly and empathetic manner to foster emotional well-being and social interaction.
