About The Position

The Wound Care RN at MediLodge of Montrose is responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing comprehensive nursing care focused on wound management for residents. This role involves supervising and guiding clinical staff in wound care practices, ensuring high-quality care, and contributing to the professional development of nursing staff through education and mentorship.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Two years of nursing experience preferred.

• Experience in wound care management.
• Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate ostomy care for patients.
• Provide advanced clinical guidance to physicians and nursing staff for complex wound drainage and skin protection.
• Develop and conduct educational programs for staff on wound care.
• Determine appropriate nursing interventions for identified patient problems and teaching needs.
• Develop patient care plans and identify necessary equipment and resources for implementation.
• Select stoma sites on patients prior to surgery based on individual anatomy and lifestyle.
• Perform related responsibilities as required.
