About The Position

As our Wound Care Nurse at St. Francis Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between CHI Health and Dignity Health , you will p rovide wound, ostomy, continence (WOC) focused care to patients. Serves as a resource in educating patients and families in management of wound, ostomy, and continence conditions. Provides peri-operative education and stoma-site marking for patients undergoing ostomy surgery. Formulates, implements and evaluates the patient’s plan of care and adjust plan of care in consultation with the Provider

Requirements

• BSN degree required within 2 years of start date
• Current Nebraska license as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• Certification in 1 specialty area(COCN, CWCN, CWOCN, CWON) within 3 years of start date
• One to three years experience in nursing necessary in order to provide and train others in proper care of wound & ostomy patients.
