Requirements

Current Illinois RN license required
Wound care certification required
Minimum of 2 years of wound care experience, preferably in long-term care
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Ability to follow written and verbal clinical instructions and procedures
Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care

Responsibilities

Provide specialized wound and skin care to residents in accordance with physician orders and best practices
Assess resident treatment needs and implement appropriate wound care interventions
Monitor healing progress and adjust care plans as needed
Educate and supervise nursing staff and CNAs to ensure high standards of care
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as organizational policies
Support the MDS office with clinical documentation and care coordination as assigned
