Requirements
- Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
- Valid Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
- Wound Care Board Certification (WOCN) or willing to earn within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS)
- DEA License

Responsibilities
- Evaluates and manages patients for wound care and ensures delivery of care meets current standards of practice.
- Ensures education is provided to the facility staff regarding patient's wound(s).
- Addresses both acute and chronic primary care complaints, and able to ascertain medical urgency.
- Applies principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
- Consults specialty services as appropriate.
- Orders pertinent diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing for the medical diagnosis or presenting symptom.
- Accepts feedback and direction from the supervising physician.
- Creates and implement a medical plan of care.
- Prescribes medications as appropriate.
- Performs timely documentation and billing.
- Other duties as assigned.
