About The Position

MercyOne North Iowa Wound Center is a busy outpatient practice with instant volume, featuring a beautiful, patient-friendly, comprehensive Wound Center. The center is staffed by very experienced and WOCN certified nurses, along with 1 ARNP and 1 PA. It focuses on chronic and non-healing wounds and includes dedicated hyperbaric rooms with 2 chambers and 2 ultrasound rooms on site. This is the only comprehensive wound and hyperbaric service for more than 90 miles. The position offers a teaching opportunity for Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residents, medical students, and APP students. It promotes an excellent work-life balance with outpatient-only responsibilities, meaning no nights, weekends, or call duties.

Requirements

• Board Certified and licensed as an ARNP or Physician Assistant in the state of Iowa.
• Certified in Wound Care and Hyperbaric oxygen or obtain certification within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with chronic and non-healing wounds.
• Utilize hyperbaric oxygen therapy as needed.
• Participate in teaching opportunities for medical residents and students.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.
