About The Position

The Worship Associate at Christ's Church is responsible for directing and ensuring the quality of worship experiences through musical excellence and pastoral leadership. This role involves leading band rehearsals, assisting in vocal team direction, and overseeing both contract and volunteer team members to enhance live and online worship experiences. The Worship Associate will also manage the planning and execution of Monday Night Worship services, ensuring consistency across various worship sites.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in worship leadership
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
• Experience with music direction and band leadership
• Ability to create and manage music tracks using Ableton and Multi-tracks
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Planning Center
• Familiarity with ROCK software
• Background in technical production for worship services

Responsibilities

• Promote and cultivate a Jesus-centered discipleship culture across all worship teams
• Oversee the planning and execution of Monday Night Services
• Collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure alignment with the strategic vision for weekly Sunday worship experiences and special services
• Assist with song selection and musical arrangement
• Collaborate with the Technical Associate Director to promote distraction-free worship environments
• Manage coordination of set design and implementation for media and production elements
• Function as Lead Music Director for band and vocal team members on best practices and rehearsal
• Recruit, audition, equip, and disciple vocal team, band volunteers, and worship contractors
• Lead strategically by addressing spiritual, emotional, and physical needs
• Create consistent weekly communications to equip and encourage band and vocal team members
• Assist in song selection and create music tracks for worship experience using Ableton and Multi-tracks
• Create practice tracks, rehearsal mixes, and arrangements for band member rehearsal and Sunday worship via Planning Center
• Manage Planning Center assets by coordinating with Campus Worship Pastors to procure mp3s, chord charts, lead sheets, and sheet music
• Participate in weekly worship planning and other staff meetings as needed
• Manage team scheduling via Planning Center for musicians and contractors
• Regularly meet and disciple volunteers for spiritual and musical development
• Provide insight and ongoing evaluation to promote individual and group improvement
• Participate and provide worship service support, on and off platform, as needed
• Conduct rehearsals for weekly worship service and other special worship events
• Supervise and maintain weekly service flow for each campus
• Manage event calendar for worship team, ensuring coverage for all services and special events
• Provide support to the Mandarin Campus Student Ministry Worship Team as needed
