About The Position

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. The role involves forecasting demand, inventory, and multi-channel sell through. Responsibilities include generating weekly and quarterly supply plans that meet Apple's financial objectives and evaluating risks, planning and implementing contingency plans to mitigate, analyzing product sales on a daily basis, and identifying opportunities to drive partner groups to appropriate action. The position requires close coordination with regional product planning teams to ensure supply plans meet sales requirements, as well as collaboration with Marketing and New Product Operations teams to set launch quantities of new product introductions and ensure smooth product transitions. Additionally, the role involves partnering with global procurement teams to allocate constrained components, ensuring raw material inventory targets are met, and minimizing material obsolescence during product transition. The candidate will present product updates and recommend actions to the Operations executive management team on a weekly basis, while also identifying improvement opportunities in the product planning process, marshaling resources, and driving projects to completion.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or Foreign Equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, International Business, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience performing advanced quantitative modeling utilizing Excel for calculating business decisions.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets to actualize past operations, assess results, and plan for future requirements.
  • Utilizing advanced modeling and simulation skills in supply chain to optimize processes, forecast demand, optimize supply, and plan logistics.
  • Performing scenario analysis and risk management, analyzing expected outcomes of different business decisions and recommending actions.
  • Quantifying financial implications of business decisions, such as those involving capital expenditures or inventory.
  • Coordinating with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional partners to gather data and collaborate on decision making.
  • Presenting complex analyses and solutions to executive leaders to drive business decisions.
  • Managing projects or devising new processes to improve business planning operations.
