Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
Must possess NJ certification in Elementary K-6 and 5-8 Middle School World Language Specialization or K-12 World Language Specialization by start date.
2+ years working in an urban education setting preferred
Must have a track record of measurable success and achievement

Responsibilities

Teach engaging, standards-aligned lessons that build listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while fostering curiosity, creativity, and mastery of language.
Bring language to life through immersive activities, hands-on projects, and real-world cultural experiences.
Create an inclusive, collaborative classroom where respect, curiosity, and academic growth thrive.
Provide meaningful, timely feedback to help scholars continuously improve their language proficiency.
Model strong communication and emotional intelligence to build a positive classroom culture.
Use technology and manage classroom resources to support dynamic, effective learning.
Stay current with best practices in world language instruction and integrate innovative, research-backed strategies.
Celebrate global perspectives and ensure curriculum and materials reflect cultural awareness, equity, and representation.
Collaborate with support teams and remain informed about I&RS and Special Services to meet the needs of all scholars.
