As our Worksite Learning Coordinator, you will champion high school students by supporting them as they gain real-world experience, stay on track to graduate, and build confidence in their financial futures. You will design engaging classroom materials, deliver financial education workshops, and build strong connections with schools and community partners. Your day might include: Building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, primarily in Thurston County, financial CTE instructors, and community partners to stay current on trends in financial education and program design. Monitoring and supporting 20–30 high school students enrolled in the Worksite Learning Program to ensure employment performance and behavior meet graduation credit requirements. Setting goals and coaching and mentoring students to interact positively with employers and educators, supporting accountability, growth, and successful completion of assignments and projects. Designing, creating, and marketing engaging financial education courses, study materials, and workshops for high school classrooms, including New Market Skills Center and other schools as needed. Collaborating with the Community Workplace Professionals Advisory Board to celebrate progress, facilitate goal setting, and strengthen program outcomes. Encouraging student engagement by incorporating feasible student ideas and offering creative solutions to motivate participation. Communicating clearly and positively to reinforce service promise expectations and foster strong working relationships with students, educators, coworkers, and community partners. Demonstrating professionalism, adaptability, and problem-solving skills while working effectively with minimal supervision. Seeking opportunities to improve and streamline work processes and pursuing training beyond required expectations while remaining receptive to feedback and coaching. Serving as a liaison between the community and WSECU by responding to Community Relations inquiries, participating in team meetings, and representing WSECU with a positive and professional image. Performing other duties as assigned.
