MW Disability Training and Day Services provide personalised supports in line with New Directions. Our service users are supported to develop Person Centred Plans and identify goals which deliver to their individual wishes, needs and abilities. Our services ensure the Rights and Dignity of our service users is respected and that each person can learn the skills necessary to live a life of their choosing and be active members of their own communities. We promote community inclusion and active citizenship and encourage engagement with community partners/organisations. The people using our service have a broad range of abilities: physical and sensory, ASD, mild to moderate intellectual disability, ABI and mental health. The age profile is 18-65. This wide demographic creates a very diverse environment in which to grow and learn. We provide classes and activities and support attendance at community-based activities in the following areas: Personal care/Independent living skills Interpersonal Skills/ Social & Cultural Development Rights & Advocacy Health & Wellbeing Personal Expression and Creativity
