About The Position

Workplace Support Aide-Newark Ohio For Licking/Knox Goodwill Location: Newark Ohio Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per Hr. Number of positions: 1 Part-time: 20 hrs. per week Potential to turn into full-time A successful applicant will Have experience as well as a passion for working with individuals with disabilities Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Have experience in retail, production, or warehouse environments Possess a Valid Ohio Drivers License and meet driving standards Be able to pass a background check and drug test, which does include THC

Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Have experience in retail, production, or warehouse environments
  • Possess a Valid Ohio Drivers License and meet driving standards
  • Be able to pass a background check and drug test, which does include THC
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to provide calm, respectful, and patient support to employees
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow directions and maintain consistent documentation
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced retail or warehouse environment
  • Dependability and professionalism
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and tolerate periods of standing, walking, and physical activity
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft office and use of technology for documentation

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support, task prompting, and guidance to employees with disabilities in retail and warehouse setting
  • Assist employees with job tasks such as, sorting, tagging, stocking or production line work as needed to maintain workflow
  • Reinforce job skills taught by Job Coaches to promote independence and confidence
  • Monitor employee progress and communicate updates or concerns to Career Services Specialist and retail staff
  • Collaborating with management and production leads ensuring employees with disabilities receive appropriate support
  • Support adherence to workplace standards, policies and procedures
  • Report any safety, behavioral, or performance concerns promptly to Supervisory staff
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
