About The Position

The Workplace Food Program Senior Specialist at Workday will oversee the onsite food operations, including cafes and catering services, to enhance the employee experience. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in food management, facility operations, program management, vendor management, and operational troubleshooting in a corporate or hospitality setting.
  • 8+ years of experience managing service operators.
  • Experience in customer service and food management and BOH equipment and operations.
  • Experience managing and budgeting day-to-day operations.
  • Ability to do cost analysis and negotiate.
  • Ability to manage time, work independently, and see projects through completion.
  • Ability to take on new tasks and technology quickly.
  • Good communication skills and professional presence.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to rapid business and organizational changes in a high-growth environment.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive personality.
  • Experience with overseeing and partnering with service operators.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and strategize with onsite Caf-- and Snack Program operators on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and partner with EHS.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Implement SOPs, sustainability initiatives, and minimize waste.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Plan and manage annual operating budgets, track expenditures, purchase order requests, forecasting, monthly accruals, and cost-saving investment measures.
  • Track financial variance and operational expenses of all caf--/coffee bar operations.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, vendors, and consultants.
  • Ensure vendors and contractors deliver services in line with contracts and standards.
  • Actively bring new programs to fruition, offer suggestions, and have an innovative approach to all Workday offerings.
  • Manage Workday internal onboarding process for all operator staff.
  • Responsible for reporting Workplace related service tickets in the Workday ticket system as well as responding to service tickets and Slack.
  • Partner with Property Management on items related to COIs, PMs, repairs, janitorial, and notifications to end users.
  • Strategize with Workday internal groups such as Employee Life, Sustainability, Safety, IT, and Workplace Operations on program initiatives and small projects.
  • Serve as a conduit to align the groups with the Caf-- operators for an overall positive experience.
